As part of Christianity Today’s advertising strategy, most issues of CT magazine include an advertorial—a feature-length article designed to engage a specific segment of advertisers within a given issue. Over the years, the visual approach to these advertorials has ranged from closely aligned with the CT brand to intentionally distinct. During the period represented below, we were experimenting with high-quality design that stood apart from the magazine’s core visual language, employing a wide range of illustration and typographic treatments—all accomplished without a dedicated art budget.
